Shocking video footage showed migrants creeping through unguarded barbed wire at Eagle Pass, Texas, and disappearing into the woods under the cover of darkness.
Migrants were seen creeping into the brambles of the U.S.-Mexico border town, one after another, in an attempt to cross the border without being processed.
Dozens, including at least three kids, furtively made their way through barbed wire in what appeared to be a moment when no border patrol or guards were in sight.
Trucks for border patrol agents processing arrivals were parked on the other side along the Del Rio bridge, shown in the video posted Friday by @JLRINVESTIGATES on X, formerly Twitter.

Migrants were heard cheering and shouting as they disappeared into the scrubland.
Eagle Pass has been at the epicenter of the migrant crisis and was hit by a huge influx of illegal crossers this week, as a leaked document claim agents are ‘too busy processing to guard the border.’

Upwards of 8,000 migrants have been crossing the border at Eagle Pass every day last week
The Texas town of just 28,000 people has been inundated by migrants in recent days, with border crossings rising to around 8,000 a day in the week ending September 22, according to the Washington Office of Latin America.
Throughout the month of August, upwards of 232,000 migrants made their way over the US-Mexico border.
Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinos declared a state of emergency over the crisis, but a document allegedly leaked by a Border Agent appears to show that the unprecedented number of arrivals is now making it impossible for them to effectively guard the crossing.
The report was shared by DC Examiner reporter Anna Giaritelli on X, who claimed that ‘all Border Patrol agents have pulled to other duties (mainly processing migrants) so not a single agent will be in the field.’
Giaritelli added that the agent who shared the document is ‘pretty pi**** off about this’, a sentiment echoed by Elon Musk as he revealed this week he is travelling to Eagle pass to help grapple with the ‘serious issue.’

According to the leaked document, which has not been independently verified by DailyMail.com, all Border Patrol agents in Eagle Pass are assigned to processing at various migrant centers.
The memo adds that there should be nothing ‘indicating any type of field deployment/ enforcement’ at the border.
The lack of any border patrol agents comes as officers struggle to cope with crossing numbers only matched by April 2023 levels, when pandemic-era immigration policy Title 42 ended.
Harrowing images from the porous border show droves of migrants traversing difficult terrain and wading through the Rio Grande river.
Families are seen clinging to each other, with some struggling to carry soaking wet bags of belongings across the water.
After crossing from the Mexico side in Piedras Negras, the asylum seekers are met by law enforcement, including the National Guard, before they reach long lines of razor wire.

Officers are seen helping people through the terrain, including lifting small children exhausted by the journey to safety, while many migrants are pictured queuing up as they wait to be processed.
Salinos’ declaration of a state of emergency came as it is thought that 100,000 people waded through the Rio Grande and into the town last week, and he slammed President Biden this week for ‘abandoning’ his community.
In the last 10 days, law enforcement in Eagle Pass have also arrested more than 17,000 illegal immigrants, according to the Washington Examiner.
Shelters in border towns like Eagle Pass have been stretched well over capacity due to the thousands of crossings every day.
As officials scramble for solutions, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has led the movement to bus migrants to northern states to share the burden of ineffective border policies while bringing the crisis to national attention.

In New York, where over 100,000 migrants have poured into the city, Mayor Eric Adams admitted this month that the influx could ‘destroy’ the Big Apple.
But Salinas took aim at such comments as he slammed Biden’s response to the influx in Eagle Pass, saying on social media this week: ‘We’re not a city that has the resources of New York, Chicago, cities like that.
‘You already see big cities already complaining that they’re getting large amounts of undocumented immigrants. I mean, we’re Eagle Pass. We only have limited resources, so this is not sustainable.
‘As a mayor, what’s disappointing is that we haven’t heard from the president of the United States or the vice president of the United States… To this day, I haven’t heard of a concrete plan of action to stop this from continuing to happen. Sometimes, we feel kind of abandoned here at the at the border here in Eagle Pass.’
With the situation at Eagle Pass continuing to deteriorate, tech billionaire Elon Musk – an outspoken critic of the migrant crisis – said this week he is readying to visit the border town.
Musk, 52, said he had spoken to Texas Congressman Tony Gonzales, which led him to plan a visit ‘to see what’s going on for myself.’
‘They are being overwhelmed by unprecedented numbers – just hit an all-time high and still growing!’ he said on his platform X, formerly Twitter.
Elon Musk has announced he will go to Eagle Pass, Texas, later this week to observe the situation at the US-Mexico border
In a different post responding to a DailyMail.com video of chaos outside a migrant shelter in Staten Island, Musk said ‘this is a severe crisis.’
A large number of the refugees have moved from Venezuela amid the country’s ongoing economic decline, with more than seven million residents leaving the nation of 29 million people as of February, reports The New York Times.
While the vast majority of the seven million have opted for neighboring countries, many have made their way to the US. From 2015 to 2018, only around 100 Venezuelans were stopped annually at the border.
From October 2021 to August 2022, that number stood at 150,000.
Around two million migrants are thought to have crossed the US southern border in 2023 with many citing Biden’s lax policies as a reason.
Another 500,000 could cross by the end of the year.
While Biden comes under mounting pressure to address issues at the border, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced recently that 800 more military service men and women would be sent to the border to aid the crisis joining the more than 2,500 National Guardsman who are already deployed.
The huge influx of Venezuelan migrants led Biden to announce last week he was introducing speedy processing for more than 300,000 asylum seekers from the economically devastated nation.
Biden indicated that the decision was made in hopes of easing pressure on the underfunded border officials as they are stretched thin.
