A 13-year-old schoolboy lost his life after being stabbed to death while on a bus on Staten Island, New York.
The incident occurred on Friday afternoon just before 2:30pm near Hylan Boulevard and Littlefield Avenue in the Eltingville section of the borough.
The attacker got on the S78 bus and began yelling at the other teen before stabbing him in the chest three times.

The boy was taken to Staten Island University South Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect responsible for the stabbing is believed to be another 13-year-old and was taken into custody shortly afterwards.
It remains unclear what lead to the violent incident.

‘Every parent’s worst nightmare is playing out in real time,’ Borough President Vito Fossella told the Staten Island Advance.
‘This is something that has got to hit everybody in the gut in a real significant way,’ he said. ‘And there is no room for things like that on Staten Island in my opinion.’
