A 22-year-old man who allegedly mowed into and killed four Pepperdine University seniors with his BMW in Malibu has been charged with murder.
Fraser Michael Bohm, 22, was re-arrested Tuesday on four counts of murder in the deaths of Niamh Rolston, 20, Peyton Stewart, Asha Weir and Deslyn Williams, all 21, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced.
The four sorority sisters died at the scene when the BMW driven by Bohm – the night after his 22nd birthday – plowed into them as they stood by their cars close to a Pepperdine frat house off of the Pacific Coast Highway last week.
Bohm was originally arrested after the crash and charged with gross vehicular manslaughter, but was ‘subsequently released to allow detectives time to gather the evidence needed to secure the strongest criminal filing and conviction.’
The sheriff’s department is collecting evidence including toxicology, speed analysis, execution of search warrants, the police said in a press release.
Bohn’s bail is set to $8million with his next court date of Wednesday this week.
More to come.
