A car has slammed into a pub’s busy beer garden killing several people on Sunday afternoon.
The vehicle caused carnage as it ploughed into patrons seated outside at the popular Royal Hotel at Daylesford, north west of Melbourne at 6pm on Sunday.
Early police reports say ‘multiple’ people may have been killed in the horror accident, which happened on Vincent Street, Daylesford.
Four rescue helicopters were dispatched to collect the seriously injured victims.

Victoria Police confirmed the crash on social media on Sunday evening.
‘Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious crash in Vincent Street Daylesford,’ the police statement on X (formerly twitter) said.
‘As emergency services need access to the scene we ask that members of the public avoid the area. Police are putting diversions in place.’
