Peter Andre has vowed to ‘look out’ for his wife Emily as she approaches the final months of her ‘hardest’ pregnancy.
Earlier this month NHS doctor Emily, 34, admitted she’s finding her third pregnancy ‘a lot harder’ and ‘more challenging’ now she is older – but Peter, 50, is doing his best to support her.
Writing in his column for new! magazine, he said: ‘We’re a matter of months away from welcoming our newest family member – how exciting!
‘Emily mentioned on ‘Lorraine’ that this has been her toughest pregnancy and I can assure you all, I’ve been looking after her. She is a trooper though.
‘No matter how tough it gets, she just gets on with things but, as always, I’ll be sure to look out for her.’

Emily is due in April after they confirmed the joyful news in October.
And reflecting on her pregnancy this time round, Emily candidly discussed with Lorraine Kelly that she’s struggled a lot more than before.
She said: ‘It’s been harder and I don’t know if it’s because I’m older or because I have two kids already. It has definitely been a little bit more challenging but I think that’s going to be expected isn’t it.
‘The more pregnancies you have I guess that get a little bit more challenging but I love it and it’s a precious time and I can’t believe it’s coming to an end which makes me think I really need to relish these times.’
Praising her beloved husband Peter, she added: ‘We are mostly ready. Peter is so hands on, he’s making sure I don’t carry anything and he’s helping me up the stairs, all of these things.’
Peter and Emily already share two children Amelia, nine, and seven-year-old Theo.

And reflecting on her pregnancy this time round, Emily candidly discussed with Lorraine Kelly that she’s struggled a lot more than before
They met in 2010 through Emily’s surgeon father Ruaraidh MacDonagh.
He was Peter’s consultant during surgery for kidney stones in 2010 and, knowing she was a fan of his music, introduced her to him.
The pair developed a friendship but did not begin dating until summer 2012.
In an interview in 2022, Emily explained how she tries ‘to keep things consistent’ for her and Pete’s children as well her step-children Princess and Junior.
Speaking to Closer magazine, Emily said she prefers to ‘leave the disciplining’ of her stepchildren to Peter so as not to overstep the boundaries as a step mum.
While the medic admits to feeling more ‘like a big sister’ to the teenagers.
Detailing their parenting strategy, Emily explained: ‘I tend to leave the disciplining up to Pete and often I feel like a big sister, which works really well for us.’
Opening up further about the family’s home life, she went on: ‘I’m quite strict, especially with stuff like manners. Me and Pete are quite similar, really we both are very much up on honesty, manners, kindness.’
Peter previously defended his age-gap relationship in his OK! Magazine column, hitting out at the criticism over Leonardo DiCaprio’s penchant for dating younger women.
‘As you all know, Emily and I have been together for nearly 11 years and have known each other for 13 years’.
‘Even though she is younger than me, I don’t think age matters as we are so happy together!’ the Aussie singer wrote.
Peter and Emily already share two children Amelia, nine, and seven-year-old Theo. Emily is also stepmother to Peter and his ex-wife Katie Price’s children – Junior, 18, and Princess, 16
