She famously starred on the show in 2008 – but Lisa Appleton has experienced something of a rollercoaster with her finances ever since.

Lisa, 55, suffered hardships as a result of becoming famous, admitting she was turned away by potential employers which resulted in her being made homeless.

She struggled with sleeping rough after being unable to pay any of her bills before temporarily moving into a £5 per night treehouse.

Lisa also split from her husband Mario and struggled with depression and comfort eating, battling a pork sausage addiction that saw her eating up to 50 a day.

She then went on to become an Amazon delivery driver 15 years after starring on the reality show.

Speaking about her decision to become a driver, Lisa told The Sun: ‘Obviously with the lockdown, a lot of my projects at the time got cancelled.

‘So in the meantime, because of the cost of living and stuff like that, food has gone up, everything has gone up.

‘I can’t believe the prices sometimes, they have added a pound on to things. Electricity’s gone up so I thought as a boost to my income I would get a job at Amazon.’

But Lisa was forced to give it up after people stopped her to take selfies and she lost too much weight running around all day.

She told Closer magazine: ‘I thought Amazon would suit me because I just wanted to be adventurous and travel, but it was a bit of a nightmare to be honest.

‘I was rained on all day, and a lot of the time they’re not in and you have to knock at up to six neighbours. I thought, “I’ll be here all day”. Then you need to see if they want to leave it behind the fence of the bin or wherever.

‘People kept wanting selfies with me and we had a little chat and stuff, which was lovely, but everything went up – my stress levels, my blood pressure, my heart rate. I lost 2st just running from house to house. I hope I haven’t lost too much though, I like to be curvy.’

In 2013 Lisa and Mario called time on their eight-and-a-half year romance, with Lisa claiming that whilst they had been ‘unhappy for a while’.

She explained the final straw in the pair’s union came when they were duped by convicted conman Selva Carmichael into being followed by cameras for six months to film a fake reality show.

Carmichael – dubbed ‘The Silver Fox’ – ‘destroyed’ her two-year marriage to Mario with his lies after they filmed a for 18 hours a day for a documentary which they believed would make them stars.

Lisa discussed the impact that starring on Big Brother had on her life when she appeared on Channel 5’s Celebs on Benefits in 2015.

She said of her whirlwind time in the spotlight: ‘Nothing prepared me for the overnight success and fame that I had. It was huge. I was knocking back magazine deals, newspaper deals, photo shoots, exclusives.’

Speaking to MailOnline, she explained: ‘I had suicidal thoughts I hit rock bottom. After Big Brother and all the success, I lost it all.

‘I felt I had lost everything – my career, my marriage, everything, that I felt rock bottom. I felt so low I just wasn’t enjoying life anymore. I felt really emotional. I had a complete breakdown.’

But now things are looking up and Lisa is selling her racy snaps on OnlyFans. She also found work with a True Crime documentary called Hollywood Files.

She has said that she was flattered and grateful that men still find her attractive despite ‘so many fit birds’ being out there.

She added: ‘They’ve all seen my knockers and they all give me compliments. They’re all young men. You should see my private messages. The amount of people who want to take me out for a meal, it’s really tickled me.

‘They say, “I will sweep you off your feet”, “Sweetie, you’re just so beautiful” and all of this. There are hundreds of them.”’
