A fiery septuagenarian has been arrested for landing several blows on a man during an altercation at his Florida home after he allegedly called her an ‘Italian b****.’
Linda Marie Caccese, 71, a New York native, now lives in ‘Florida’s Friendliest Hometown’ after trading the fast pace of Brooklyn and Staten Island for The Villages.
She had driven her silver Nissan pickup to a nearby home on Trifu Terrace when a friend offered to help with the Bluetooth function on her cellphone.
Suddenly, a man came outside and ordered her off his property.
‘When I pulled up, he came out of the house cursing at me, calling me all sorts of names,’ she said.
Speaking to the New York Post, Caccese said her close friend lived in the same house as the man but did not elaborate on the nature of their relationship.
She added: ‘He doesn’t like me, probably because I take my friend out of the house that’s like a prison for her.’
Linda Marie Caccese, 71, was arrested October 2 after she allegedly punched a man who called her an ‘Italian b****’
The septuagenarian got into an altercation with the man, who lives with her friend, when she arrived at the house seeking help with her cellphone
The man demanded that she get off his property, to which Caccese allegedly responded: ‘I don’t have to’
According to a police report, Caccese allegedly told him ‘I don’t have to’ when she was commanded to leave.
The man fired back, calling her an ‘Italian b****’ – which is when Caccese got out of her truck and charged at him.
He bolted back into the home and locked the door.
‘Come out here and say that!’ she said. ‘Come out here and call me that!’
Caccese began banging on the door as well as beating her fists against the side door windows.
The man told police he was ‘afraid’ she would break them, so he opened the door.
As soon as the door was ajar, the 71-year-old ‘punched him two to three times in the face and kept grabbing him,’ the report said.
When she refused to leave, the man then referred to Caccesse as an ‘Italian b****,’ prompting her to get out of her truck and storm up to the front door
Caccesse later admitted that she’d managed to land a few blows. She was subsequently arrested and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center
‘He doesn’t like me,’ she said of the man, ‘probably because I take my friend out of the house that’s like a prison for her’
Caccese claimed she ‘got into a rage.’
She pushed her way into the house, but he shoved her back out.
A woman at the home – possibly Caccese’s friend – attempted to separate them during the brawl.
Cassese, who was arrested on a charge of battery on October 2, is seen scowling in her mugshot.
‘They told me it was because I was on his property,’ she said of the police. ‘I tried to tell them that I was invited to come over there.’
In the tussle, Caccese said the man grabbed her arm and left a bruise.
She argued that she was forced to defend herself – and admitted that she managed to land several blows.
The senior was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center the same night and released after posting $500 bond.
