Horrified locals have expressed ‘disgust’ after a man was stabbed to death in west Yorkshire, while two others were rushed to hospital.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at Commercial Street, Halifax, after being called to the ‘serious incident’ at around 3.48am. All three men were taken to hospital with stab wounds.
One of the men passed away at hospital, with another described as being in a critical condition. The third man has received treatment for a non-life-threatening injury.
A resident called Chris, 60, who has lived in Halifax for may years, told YorkshireLive said he thinks the number of stabbings in the town is ‘disgusting’ and becoming ‘more of a problem’.

An investigation into the triple stabbing has been launched by West Yorkshire Police.
Chris said he keeps his head down when in the town and doesn’t ‘make eye contact with people’.
‘A couple of weeks back a man said to me that he would chop my head off,’ he added. ‘It happened in the block [where he lives].’
Forensic investigators have been seen searching the road and pavements within a police cordon at the scene, while a large police presence was seen around the town.

The police said the investigation is in its ‘very early stages’ and that further information is to come.
Officers said there is a significant police scene in place in the town centre while police conduct specialist searches and forensic enquiries.
