Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg posted an image to his Instagram account showing himself with two black eyes and a bruised nose after a training session.

Zuckerberg captioned the picture: ‘Sparring got a little out of hand. May need to update my avatar.’

Since the Covid-19 lockdown, Zuckerberg has become known for his affinity with Mixed Martial Arts and at one point was rumored to be preparing for an MMA fight against X chief Elon Musk, but the noise around the potential bout has grown incredibly quiet.

Zuckerberg’s photo also caught the attention of a few noted professionals from the MMA world.

Former ONE Championship middleweight and light heavyweight titleholder Aung La Nsang commented on Zuckerberg’s photo and said: ‘Might need to keep your hands up Mark.’

The rumored MMA fight between Zuckerberg and Elon Musk seems unlikely to happen

Will Gomis who has gone 3-0 since joining UFC also commented and said, ‘What does not kill you makes you stronger.’

Zuckerberg competed in a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament earlier this year in California and was able to bring home two medals from the competition.

The 39-year-old has also been seen training with some of the best MMA fighters in the world previously such as ‘The Last Stylebender’ Israel Adesanya.

Although the proposed ‘The Battle of the Billionaires’ seems unlikely to happen, UFC president Dana White recently spoke on the hypothetical fight and claimed that whatever charities received donations from the fight would be real winners.

‘Let me tell you who would win in that fight: whatever charities were picked to donate the money to,’ White added.

‘They would be the absolute winners because I think that thing would do a billion dollars in revenue, and they wanted 90 per cent of the money to go to charity.’
