This is the moment Just Stop Oil protesters continued their rampage, spraying London‘s Wellington Arch in orange paint.

A trio of eco-clowns from the group were seen this morning spray painting the historic arch, completed in 1827, with orange paint, with the activist’s logo being brandished on the bottom of the structure.

The area surrounding the centre piece of Hyde Park Corner remained empty bar from a shocked cyclist who recorded the incident and a few passers-by who rushed past as the campaigners continued to vandalise the structure.

The group then proceeds to place down it’s fire-extinguisher-like paint cans, with one pulling out an orange flare while another pulled out a large Just Stop Oil flag.

Photos show a number of police officers stood around the arch as the two men and woman continue to stand up in protest.

After dousing the historic arch in paint, the trio set off orange flares and help up their well-known sign

The incident comes as the eco zealots vowed to continue its ‘resistance’ against the government’s new migration policy, just days after they blocked a coach transporting asylum seekers onto the controversial Bibby Stockholm Barge.

Eventually the bus forced its way through the 23 protesters who walked up and down the road carrying a huge orange banner that read ‘No Prison Ships’.

Until last Thursday, when they carried out the demonstration, the group had solely been focusing on environmental-related protests.

But this week it would be expanding its cause by announcing a ‘migrant solidarity event’ tonight.

The statement read: ‘Fossil fuel extraction is an act of mass murder against people in the global south. But there can be no climate justice without migrant justice.

‘Responding to displaced people with cruel schemes like the Bibby Stockholm is no type of solution. We must prevent people from being forced out of their homelands by climate breakdown, while also protecting their right to move safely and with dignity.’

Yesterday, three of the eco-zealots who invaded the Lord’s cricket pitch during the Ashes this summer were told they would be spared jail for their stunt. They were pictured grinning outside court.

Daniel Knorr, a 21-year-old University of Oxford biochemistry student was grabbed by England cricketer Jonny Bairstow  as he attempted to sprint towards the wicket, before being carted off the pitch.

England cricketer Jonny Bairstow was credited with saving the showpiece test match when he ‘took out’ one of the trio, 21-year-old Oxford University biochemistry student Daniel Knorr heading for the wicket in June

The three, who said they wanted to create headlines for their climate change protest and did not want to cause disruption or damage the pitch, were found guilty after a trial at City of London Magistrates’ Court.

But despite the criminal offence carrying a maximum prison term of three months, the trio were spared jailed during their sentencing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court and instead handed 60 hours of unpaid work and fined. They were also banned from the cricket ground for a year.

The court heard how the protesters got ‘very close’ to the wicket after jumping a 3ft-high metal fence.
