A janitor at a New Jersey elementary school has been arrested over accusations he laced the food in the canteen with bleach, urine, saliva and feces.
Giovanni Impellizzeri, 25, has been charged with child endangerment, aggravated assault and tampering with the food at Elizabeth Moore School in the Upper Deerfield School District.
School authorities contacted the police on Monday after receiving a tip about posts on social media in which Impellizzeri was allegedly performing sex acts with ‘inanimate objects’ in the building.
Investigators claim he contaminated the food and utensils in the school cafeteria with bodily fluids which included urine, saliva and feces.
Impellizzeri even allegedly sprayed bleach into a container filled with cucumbers with the intent of harming children.

Police said Impellizzeri also used bread to touch his private parts, spat on it and then put it back into a container so it could be served to students.
‘This is a public health crisis at this point. We don’t know who, where he’s been,’ parent Rachel Jenkins told ABC7.
While Cristencia Jenkins, whose child attends Elizabeth Moore School, said: ‘Kids are getting sick, having diarrhea, vomiting, and we’re blaming it on a belly bug when in reality it could be hepatitis, it could be food poisoning.
‘Like, who knows what else he’s putting in there?’
Impellizzeri is currently in hospital and will have a detention hearing on Monday.
The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office said Impellizzeri committed these acts while working as a janitor at the school and that he has been employed there since September 2019.
Investigators are working to find out exactly when the incidents occurred.
Parents are upset with the school following Impellizzeri’s arrest on Tuesday and said they did not hear about it until Wednesday.
They received an automatic call which said an employee was on leave.
The school district is said to have not contacted the health department until Thursday.

The school sent a text to parents asking for information and claimed no students were involved.
‘If there’s bodily fluids and all this other stuff going around, that is direct involvement,’ parent John Wojtowicz said.
A group of parents who came to pick up their children were addressed by the superintendent in the parking lot on Friday. But a petition was started for the school official to be fired.
Officials say the school district is working with the Department of Health to make sure the food preparation areas, surfaces and utensils have been properly sanitized and the food discarded.
Samples are being collected from Impellizzeri to see if he has any diseases which could have been transmitted.
‘For now, parents of students and others who may have consumed contaminated food should contact their healthcare provider if they show signs of illness, particularly severe illness,’ the health department said in a statement.
